Blizoo Fiber Power, the largest cable telecom operator in Bulgaria, selects Melon Learning to accelerate product knowledge and track sales force progress
blizoo Fiber Power was the largest cable telecom operator in Bulgaria and is now part of A1 (a A1 Group company). The company focused on providing high-quality telecommunication services and content for the home and office, including digital TV, HDТV, high-speed internet and telephone services.
To excel in a highly-competitive, mature market, blizoo needed to offer not only great products, they also had to maintain a razor-sharp sales force and constantly improve their skills and knowledge in a pursuit of high-competence standards. A sure-fire way to achieve this was through regular training and testing the level of knowledge and savviness of the sales force.
With enhancing sales force expertise in mind, the company recognized their need for a tool simple enough to be able to quickly transfer and assess product knowledge, and track the progress of their sales force on a regular basis. This tool had to be able to accommodate a large number of geographically dispersed users (17 cities and more than 40 front desks) and an eLearning platform fit the bill for an efficient and cost-saving solution.

One of the few challenges our client had to face during the introduction of eLearning at the company, was to convince the employees in the benefits of eLearning. A challenge that was easily overcome thanks to Melon Learning’ user-friendly and easy to adopt UI which did not require any previous end-user training.
blizoo was using Melon Learning on a daily basis. In the course of a year, the company developed six training programs and sixteen exams as well as an Induction program for all new employees in the sales organization.
The eLearning portal has being accessed by 350 users in 41 locations throughout the country, where the company has representatives. Only in the first five months after implementation, they have spent over 2,000 hours in online training. Most system users referenced the portal on a regular basis as their daily tasks require constant knowledge update by leveraging all the online training courses that they have already passed.
For the blizoo training team, adopting Melon Learning was a significant improvement, as it freed them from organizing regular and repetitive courses allowing the team to focus on other forms of training such as classroom and on-the-job training to achieve better results.
